Covenant Christian Academy is seeking a qualified secondary school professional to join our Upper School Science faculty. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a science-related field and have experience teaching at the high school level. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to engage students in scientific inquiry and effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and meaningful way.

This is a full-time teaching position with a course load that may include a combination of science classes such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or other Upper School science offerings, based on the candidate’s background and the needs of the school. Candidates are encouraged to highlight any additional experience or coursework in related disciplines such as mathematics, computer science, or robotics.

An Upper School faculty position at Covenant includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Plan and teach assigned science courses, including lab-based instruction where appropriate
  • Collaborate with other science and math faculty to strengthen the overall program, including curricular review, course sequencing, and resource selection
  • Attend weekly Upper School faculty meetings.
  • Perform weekly duties expected of all full-time faculty and also serve as an Advisor for a small group of students
  • Attend a limited number of specified school events as representative of the CCA Upper School faculty, including “Back to School Night,” “Discover Covenant,” Admissions Events and others.
  • Be available individually for tutoring and/or coaching in the area of basic mathematics and course-related content
  • Sponsor one school club or organization

The candidate must be willing to sign CCA’s Statement of Faith and Core Values and must maintain the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model and mentor both in and out of school, to students, parents, fellow faculty members and employees in judgment, dignity, respect, and Christian living.

Contract runs: late-August 2026 through June 2027; teaching is on a 10 month cycle.
This is a 10-month position with opportunities to earn additional income through summer programming, after-school programs, and/or individual tutoring during the school year.

Compensation: $48,000–$63,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Most candidates can expect to fall within the $48,000–$55,000 range based on experience and qualifications, with the upper end reserved for candidates with significant prior experience and/or advanced credentials.

Benefits include:

  • Generous tuition remission program for employees’ children
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Paid time off and school holiday schedule
  • Supportive Christian school community and mission-driven culture

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, professional resume, Christian faith statement, and philosophy of Christian education summary.

Position will remain open until filled. Candidate interviews will be scheduled following review of requested material. Position may be filled at any time through the search process once a desired candidate has been identified.
