The International Student Program (ISP) Director oversees the planning, implementation, administrative operations, and support services for the Academy’s international student population. The International Student Program Director will play a pivotal role in not only ensuring the well-being and successful integration of international students but also in re-building and enhancing the overall program to align with our mission and values.
This position is a part-time position and reports to the USLR Principal. The ISP Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Program Development and Revitalization
Student Support and Advocacy
- Develop and implement guidance, support, and services and programs designed to promote inclusion, cross-cultural exchange, and integration into Covenant’s community to foster students’ academic, spiritual, and personal growth.
- Continually evaluate services and operations as well as make changes or additions as necessary.
Cultural Integration
- Provide direction and leadership to other staff to carry out services and programs.
- Develop and implement activities and initiatives that promote cultural understanding, inclusivity, and positive engagement among international and domestic students.
- Assess performance and provide feedback, counseling, or discipline, as needed.
Admissions and Enrollment
- Develop international partnerships and manage contractual agreements and commission fees with overseas recruitment agents.
- Plan, develop, administer, and evaluate international student recruitment efforts.
- Develops marketing materials and other strategic recruitment plans.
- Monitor international markets and agency regulations pertaining to admissions and recruitment.
- Facilitate the issuance of I-20 forms through SEVIS, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations.
- Work with the Director of Admissions to align and carry out Covenant’s enrollment process for international students
Academic Support
- Identify program priorities and ensure quality academic standards.
- Collaborate with academic departments to design and implement targeted support programs for international students, addressing language and academic needs.
- Monitor academic progress and collaborate with educators to tailor support strategies.
- Collaborate with instructors to design and implement effective language support programs for international students.
Community Engagement
- Plan orientations, program activities, and extracurricular activities to help students acclimate to Covenant’s community
- Cultivate positive relationships with host families, promoting a welcoming environment for international students.
- Maintain regular communication with host families to check in on student needs and progress.
Compliance, Documentation, and Administrative
- Develop policies, procedures, and operating standards to remain in compliance with government regulations.
- Oversee the homestay program, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Stay abreast of immigration regulations, ensuring the school remains in compliance with relevant laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to international students.
- Manage program and operating budget. Determines fiscal priorities and allocation of funds. Recommends budget amendments as appropriate. Monitors, reconciles, and analyzes revenues and expenditures. Provides financial analyses, projections, and compiles data for reports to support budget development and management.
Qualifications of the successful candidate will include:
- Bachelor's degree in education, international relations, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in advising and managing within a high school education setting.
- Experienced in counseling students.
- Experienced in evaluating overseas academic credentials.
- Experienced working with multicultural perspectives.
- Knowledge of immigration regulations and procedures related to international students.
- Knowledge of admissions policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of domestic and international education, current world politics, and world cultures as they affect domestic and international applicant pools.

Contract runs: through June 2025
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Candidates must submit a letter of interest, professional resume (showing no gaps in employment), Christian faith statement, and philosophy of Christian education summary in order to be considered for the position.
